Installation & setup
Importing the demo content
Start from the demo instead of a blank site — and what to do if the import stalls.
Import the demo on a fresh install whenever you can. On a site that already has content, the import adds to what is there rather than replacing it.
- Activate the theme and install the plugins it asks for.
- Open the theme's demo importer from the theme panel.
- Choose the demo you want and start the import.
- Wait until it finishes — it can take a few minutes.
If the import stops halfway
- Run it again — the importer picks up where it left off and skips what already exists.
- Ask your host to raise max_execution_time and memory_limit; shared hosting is usually the bottleneck.
- Import on a staging site first if the live site has traffic.
Demo images in the live preview are licensed for the demo only, so some of them are replaced with placeholders in the import.
